In a shocking turn of events, an acre of land in Kisenyi, downtown Kampala city has come forward to deny rumors that it is worth 37 billion shillings.
According to the plot of land, which spoke exclusively to UCN through its legal representative, a small shrub of weed growing on its property, it has always been “fairly priced” at less than 100 million shillings and any suggestions to the contrary are simply “fake news.”
“I’m just a simple piece of land, trying to habour drug addicts, a pile of garbage and lots of shit and urine from people who can not afford the 200 shs for toilet use around Kisenyi,” the plot of land was quoted as saying. “I would never have dreamt that I would in 2023 cost 37 billion per acre in Kisenyi here.”
Despite the acre of land’s insistence that it is not valuable, some mafias in government have reportedly valued it at 37 billion per acre, citing its prime location and potential for development.
Despite the controversy, the plot of land remains firm in its position, stating that it will continue to offer idlers and pickpockets sanctuary “I may not be the most expensive piece of land around, but I like to think that I offer something more valuable and that is : integrity and affordability,” it said.
